The METEOMOD code for melting/crystallization relationships in Fe-rich meteoritic igneous systems is presently used to calculate the parent magma compositions (PMCs) of the ALH and LEW SNC meteorites. The strong dependence between the observed spinel and experimental glass compositions could be used to predict alumina in the trapped, potentially PMC-like melt in cases where the composition of chromite cores is known.
