Previous x-ray observations of nearby systems had suggested complex morphologies in galaxies and groups. The spatial resolution that we have obtained with new CHANDRA data is now showing with unprecedented details the complex morphology of the hot gas. Comparison with data at other wavelengths testify to the complex links between different phases of the InterStellarMedium.
