The observational evidence for large concave features on Gaspra, some of which may be craters, in the generalized sense of the word, is discussed. Theoretical and numerical models are described which modify earlier ideas about applying impact scaling laws to small bodies. The major role of global resurfacing due to jolting associated with large crater formation is shown. Ways to reconcile the probable power-law size distribution of impactors with the non-power-law distribution of possible craters on Gaspra are discussed.
