We present and discuss BeppoSAX results of a sample of bright Compton-thick Seyfert 2 galaxies. The spectrum is usually complex, with evidence for reflection of the nuclear radiation by cold and/or ionized matter. For a fraction of the sources, the PDS instrument permitted to directly measure the nuclear radiation, transmitted through a moderately thick absorber
