The Sun, Observations Of Chromospheric Magnetic Field

Polarity-reversed features are features in the chromospheric magnetic field where the polarity is opposite to that of the underlying photosphere. From over 300 pairs of photospheric and chromospheric magnetograms obtained at Huairou Station, the reality of such features is demonstrated. Analysis of fine structures in the magnetic field at two levels shows that such features may exist in 4 different forms.
