Scientific paper

We discuss in detail absorption effects on gamma-rays by the X photon field in Cyg X-3. We show that, when the photon emission field is in the high state, about 60% of the gamma-rays emitted in the vicinity of the compact neutron star with energies 102-104 MeV are absorbed and inverse Compton scattering of the electron pairs created will increase the 10-70 MeV gamma-rays by about 50%, on the average. The calculated gamma-ray spectrum is in overall agreement with the observed spectrum.
