Counts of radio sources at 3.9 GHz down to 20 microJy were made for the first series of a deep survey of the southern hemisphere, which contains about 700 radio sources. The results are in agreement with Zelenchuk's sky survey and represent its weaker flux densities. Comparison of the results with extrapolations from 408 MHz proves the absence of any radio-source density excess at centimeter wavelengths.
