The thermal energy balance equation for accretion disks is considered. It is shown that several different temperature states may exist in accretion disks around supermassive black holes. The possibility of high-temperature solutions (about 10-million K) does not depend on a central object's mass. It is inferred that these states may account for the X-ray radiation of quasars.
