Multisite photoelectric photometry of the delta Scuti star HD 73819 (EP Cnc) shows that the star is variable in the millimag domain. The photometric data of the 1989 multisite campaign leads to the discovery of three pulsation frequencies (5.47, 6.51 and 5.79 cycles/d) with amplitude signal/noise ratios between 7 and 15. The associated V amplitudes are between 2 and 4 millimag. Additional measurements obtained during 1991 confirm the variability and are consistent with the two main frequencies detected during the 1989 campaign. An inspection of the frequency values shows that the pulsation must be, at least in part, nonradial of low radial order and more than one l value.
