The pattern of Ly-alpha forest absorption lines noted by the present analysis of narrow absorption line spectra of a double quasar is taken as evidence for a quasar that is gravitationally lensed. If the lensing object's z value is of the order of 1.49, then a low-luminosity lensing mass of about 10 to the 13th solar masses is implied. If the quasar is not lensed, the Ly-alpha clouds are larger by a factor of about 6.5. Observational tests capable of verifying the presence of a massive, dark, lensing object are suggested.
