The present study investigates two sources with high galactic latitudes detected by the COS-B detector, namely 3C273 and 2CG 010-31, with the aid of SAS-2 data and the cross-correlation function method. Both of them are found to have a corresponding gamma-ray peak in the SAS-2 correlated flux. The flux values derived are in good agreement with previous results. The latter indicate that the cross-correlation function method can consistenly be applied to the SAS-2 data and that fruitful results are available from the analysis of the SAS-2 data. Five of the 2CG sources of Hermsen (1980) are identified (in a way that they satisfy the predetermined criteria) using the SAS-2 data.
