Photographic photometry reveals the dwarf galaxy VIIZw009 as an outstanding object with respect to the large color excess of its central star burst region. It seems to be a similarity to the system IC 10, which also contains at least one star burst region with large internal extinction. The results are supported by the identification of the IRAS source 3550+6657 with VIIZw009.
