NGC 6822 was observed on 2005 September 4 and October 9, using the CTIO 4-m Blanco telescope with the MOSAIC 2 camera. Spectrophotometric data for several PN candidates and compact HII regions were obtained with the ESO Very LargeTelescope FORS 2 in MXU mode, on 2006 August 20 and 21. On 2006 August 20 and 22, we observed NGC 6822 with the ESO VLT UT1 (Antu) telescope, in Cerro Paranal, Chile. The FORS 2 (Focal Reducer Spectrograph 2) was used to obtain spectroscopic data to characterize the interstellar medium in NGC 6822 (program ID 077.B-0480).
