A region with a 17 GHz radio source with a decreased microwave spectral index (α~-1.3) has been recognized at the top of the flare loop in the post-maximum phase of the August 24, 2002 flare. The radio emission from this region has been interpreted as optically thin gyro-synchrotron emission. It looks that the region appeared at the top of the flare loop as a consequence of the density decrease which reduced the free-free emission component and thus revealed the gyro-synchrotron one. The plasma parameters in the loop-top radio source are estimated. Together with associated gyro-synchrotron sources at the flare loop footpoints these phenomena indicate prolonged acceleration processes in the post-maximum phase of this flare.
