Relative Einstein emission coefficients are measured for several bands of the C2Sigma(+)-X2Pi system of the CH radical, using laser-induced fluorescence in an atmospheric pressure flame. The results are compared with theoretical calculations; a previously calculated ab initio electronic transition moment, together with Morse wave functions, forms an excellent representation of the experimental results.
