By analyzing the X-ray emission of Abell 85 the authors found evidence for substructure. A prominent secondary emission peak is associated with a small group of galaxies. This group's radial velocity is the same as for the main part of the cluster. Earlier investigations of the dynamics of Abell 85 showed evidence for a foreground sheet of galaxies. The authors point out that both approaches lead to different signs of substructure.
