A yet unidentified lensing object of the gravitational lens system MG
2016+112 is searched for and probably identified as a X-ray cluster of
galaxies by ASCA observations. The X-ray spectrum suggests that a new
record has been reached for the highest redshift of clusters of galaxies
from which X-ray and iron K-line emission have been detected.
