Quasars: X-Ray Spectra
Scientific paper
The authors investigate the broad band properties of a large sample of quasars observed with the ROSAT PSPC. Their main results are: (1) radio loud quasars appear to have a flatter spectrum than radio quiet quasars in the ROSAT band; (2) the X-ray spectral index αx is correlated with the radio luminosity at 6 cm; (3) the optical to X-ray index αox, although at a lower statistical level, is also correlated with the radio luminosity at 6 cm; (4) the αx index appears to be correlated with the αox index for radio loud but not for radio quiet quasars.
