Supernova Remnants: X-Ray Images, Supernova Remnants: X-Ray Spectra

X-ray images and spectra of supernova remnants obtained from both the ROSAT all-sky survey and a series of pointed observations are presented. X-ray emission has been detected from ≡102 Galactic remnants out of the known 182 radio remnants. More than a few hundred new extended X-ray sources have been discovered at low Galactic latitude to be checked for a supernova remnant origin.
