The authors present infrared and millimetre observations of three galactic sources with supersoft X-ray spectra. The 15.8-h binary RX J0019.8+2156 reveals a significant infrared excess, indicative of circumstellar material or a late-type companion star. Two candidate objects for the infrared counterpart of the transient source 1E 1339+2937 in the globular cluster M3 are identified, though neither shows unusual JHK colours. The PG 1159 class pre-white dwarf object RX J2117.1+3412 is found to possess a black-body optical - near-infrared continuum. None of the sources were detected at 2.0 mm to a 3σ limit of ≍100 mJy.
