The authors have developed recentring and image selection algorithms to improve the resolution of ground-based images obtained with detectors able to collect time-resolved data. The algorithms are based on correlating short-exposure images with the integrated final image, the maximum of the correlation function giving the parameters of the corrections to apply to the short-exposure images. The experimental data on which these algorithms are based were obtained with the ESA Photon-Counting Detector in the Time Resolved Imaging Mode at the Cassegrain focus of the CFH Telescope. To illustrate the procedure, the authors use data from the field of the gravitationally lensed QSO 2345+007, showing two point-like images, A and B.
