Spectra obtained with the Biurakan Astrophysical Observatory 2.6-m
telescope were used to estimate the metallicities of the central parts
of 11 early-type galaxies belonging to compact groups of compact
galaxies. It is shown that galaxies in compact groups resemble other
early-type galaxies in terms of this parameter.
