An apparently asteroidal object discovered by the LINEAR project (discovery observation below), and posted on the 'NEO Confirmation Page', has been found to show cometary appearance (5" round coma without condensation) by J. Young (0.6-m reflector, Table Mountain) on CCD images taken on June 14.3-14.4 UT. 2004 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag. June 12.27759 17 58 16.96 -12 54 06.6 18.0 The available astrometry, the following preliminary parabolic orbital elements, and an ephemeris appear on MPEC 2004-L58. T = 2005 Mar. 31.408 TT Peri. = 239.431 Node = 65.634 2000.0 q = 2.18138 AU Incl. = 159.771
