The spectral albdeo model is used to estimate the spectral dependence of the imaginary refractive index of the lunar surface, to interpret the lunar albedo-color diagram, and to interpret the relationship between the titanium content and the color index of lunar soils. It is shown that the dispersion of the albedo-color diagram is due to variations of the color index which characterizes true absorption.
