An analysis is made of the delay time of plasma oscillations with respect to the commencement of the artificial injection of electrons in ionospheric experiments. It is shown that this delay time depends on the slope of the leading front of the electron injection current as well as on the experimental conditions and the ionospheric plasma parameters. The delay time is determined as a function of the time structure of the electron-injection current pulse.
