The paper `The APM Galaxy Survey - IV. Redshifts of rich clusters of galaxies' was published in Mon. Not. R. Astron. Soc. 269, 151-165(1994). As a result of a numerical error in the procedure used to obtain identifications of Abell clusters for Tables 2 and 4, there are several APM clusters that have been misidentified as Abell clusters, and some Abell Clusters that should have been matched but were missed. This correction applies only to the entries in these tables of the original paper, and not to any part of the results. The corrected entries are listed in Table 1. All matches now represent an Abell cluster position that falls within 0.75 h^-1^ Mpc at the given redshift of the APM cluster.
