The problem of the hydrogen lyman lines is very important for the resolution of the dayglow of the giant planets. It can give some very important information on the atmosphere. Recent models have resolved the problem for the lyman alpha line, but the resolution is not complete for the lyman beta line ( lambda=1025,938Å ). The problem of this line is quite complicated because of the overlap with a line of the lyman system of molecular hydrogen on the red side ( P(1) of the (6,0) band, lambda=1025,722Å ). This overlap has never been taken into account in previous models. In this work, we calculate the dayglow of both lines ( lyman beta and the line from H2 ) for Jupiter with several atmosphere models by the mean of a radiative transfer code using a Feautrier technique. This code can resolve the radiative transfer equation for an inhomogeneous atmosphere with A.A.P.R. or complete redistribution. It takes into account the sphericity corrections for the planet.
