Accretion: Dq Herculis Stars, Accretion: Magnetic Fields, Accretion: Polarization

A model of the accretion column of DQ Herculis binaries was developed,
using low values of the magnetic field (≤25 MG). The authors obtain
circular polarization <3% and linear polarization <1.5%. These
results can be compared with those of Chanmugam and Frank (1987), who
only obtained small polarization for high magnetic fields (≥75 MG).
