Consideration is given to the retention of magnetic charge in the chiral limit in dyon theory, to dyon statistics, and to the indefiniteness of anomalous charges. The background electric field strength is shown to not be a chiral singlet since a unit twist can be introduced in the anomaly equation. It is also found that the theta parameter can be defined by Abelian monopole theories, and the magnetic charge can be derived from a long-distance effective theory in a broken gauge theory. Spin statistics are determined to be valid for both full and fractional charge dyons, and it is noted that in a theory with light fermions, pure gauge theory dyon solutions do not satisfactorily describe higher-charge dyon states.
