The reported periodicity of galaxy distribution is connected to the stable condensate of a pseudo Goldstone field with the almost periodic distribution of energy density in the radial coordinate. The stability of this state is due to the angular nature of the Goldstone degree of freedom as well as to the metric of the closed universe. Alternatively the observed cosmological structure can be related to the linear 'fragments' of this state which appear to be meta-stable.
