Potential uses of OH maser emission are examined, and observations that should be made of Halley's Comet are suggested. One of the maximums in maser intensity is expected to transpire after perihelion in eary March 1986, a short period to the encounter with the spacecraft Giotto. It is recommended that between late 1985 and early 1986 the OH emission be monitored with large single dish telescopes. Consideration is also given to spectral line aperture synthesis observations of the OH, mapping the OH as a function of frequency given a sufficiently intense maser emission, and OH emission observation after perihelion in February-March 1986.
