Observations of the 5-GHz transitions of H2 13CO and H2 12CO with a 4.6 arcmin beam at 12 positions near the Galactic Centre indicate that the low isotope abundance ratios [H2 12CO] / [H2 13CO] found for the massive molecular clouds near Sgr A and Sgr B2 are not atypical; low values are found for all clouds believed to be located near the nucleus. Large-scale H2 12CO features show well defined ranges of ratio. These vary from 11-19 for the feature nearest Sgr A to 23-55 for the "molecular ring".
