Self-consistent n = 3 polytropic models with a steady alpha-effect
dynamo operating in the inner 20 percent by radius are constructed.
These axisymmetric models are a first step towards developing
self-consistent models of upper main sequence stars with a dynamo field
generated in the convective core and pervading the radiative envelope.
