Speckle interferometric observations of Pluto and its moon, Charon, indicate a separation of 0.31 + or - 0.05 arcsec between the two at a position angle of 285 + or - 7 deg for JD 2444395.75 and call for an adjustment of +4.0 hours to the orbital epoch of Harrington and Christy (1981). The present observations, which represent the first resolution of the system near minimum separation, also suggest that the inclination of the orbit to the plane of the sky should be increased by 3 deg, thereby delaying the onset of the predicted eclipse season by one apparition, to 1984 or 1985. The data presented are consistent with a Pluto diameter of 0.14 + or - 0.02 arcsec, or 3000 + or - 400 km, and a Charon diameter of 0.05 + or - 0.03 arcsec, or 1100 + or - 600 km.
