The shape parameters of various ultraviolet lines in BUSS-spectra of the Beta Cephei stars gamma Peg and beta Cep are analyzed to determine the principle parameters of the atmospheric velocity field. The line of sight components and the micro- and macroturbulent velocities are examined and model calculations of stellar spectra are made, based on interpolated Kurucz et al. (1976) models. A fairly high value of about 5 km/s is found for the microturbulent line-of-sight velocity component for both stars, and macroturbulent and rotational velocities are virtually zero in the atmosphere of gamma Peg, while a macroturbulent velocity of 40 km/s is found for beta Cep.
