It is shown that the overall density of asymptotic acoustic frequencies of a star obeys a Weyl law involving the dimensionality (D) of the oscillating stellar configuration. For realistic stars having a finite nonzero surface sound speed, D is equal to the actual dimensionality of the star, D equals 3. For formal models having a vanishing sound velocity at the surface, heuristic arguments lead to a dimensionality parameter D equals 4.5.
