The paper presents photoelectric light curves in B and V for GW Cephei. Light elements are refined and orbital elements are determined using the Russell-Merrill method, showing great similarity with those of at least four other W UMa systems: RZ Com, AM Leo, W UMa and AH Vir. Considerable differences do exist, however, which may be due to different stages of evolution among them.
