Photoelectric observations of the BV and BW Dra eclipsing binaries over the period 1974-1980 show that while the former has a regular and constant light curve, the latter, shorter-period system exhibits frequent light curve activity. Orbital elements showing that BV Dra's primary minimum is a transit have been determined, and a new astrometric observation of the visual pair BV and BW Dra is reported. It is suggested that, since BW Dra is of a later spectral type than BV Dra, the observed irregularities of the individual light curves may be due to intrinsic magnetic activities of its individual components, associated with their deeper convective outer layers.
