New lifetime measurements obtained using laser excitation are reported for levels in the 4d95p configuration of Pd I. These results are combined with branching ratios taken from Corliss and Bozman (1962) in order to provide a new set of oscillator strengths for eight transitions of solar interest. The photo spheric abundance deduced from the study of these lines is APd =1.69±0.04.
