The technique of Morse (1929) is used to calculate the potential energy curves for the C 1Sigma(+) and X 1Sigma(+) states of AlH on the basis of the spectroscopic data of Huber and Herzberg (1979). The principle of the method is outlined, and the results are presented in tables and briefly characterized. It is found that, in the C 1Sigma(+) state, the energy U + Te increases with the centers and half-widths for v = 0-6 but decreases for v = 7-50; for the X 1Sigma(+) state, the change from increase to decrease is between v = 28 and v = 29.
