The spectral line profiles of the dublet [CaII] 7291, 7323 and infrared triplet Ca II 8498, 8542, 8662 are calculated in the framework of spherically symmetric, isotropically expanding isothermal models of supernova shells. The calculated profiles are compared with those observed in the spectrum of SN 1987A. The electron temperature, concentration and distribution of Ca II ions are estimated.
