The influence of microlensing (ML) on the statistics of multiply imaged QSOs is investigated using a simple model. It is found that the impact of ML on sensing statistics can be severe, in particular on the fraction of multiply imaged QSOs in a flux-limited sample. The most obvious impact of ML on multiply imaged QSOs is the formation of a large fraction of lenses with a large flux ratio of the images if the flux threshold of the sample is high.
