In order to produce a complete sample of faint Markarian galaxies we have undertaken a program of spectral observations of objects from the Second Byurakan Survey (SBS). This survey contains more than 1300 galaxies and 1700 stellar objects with mpg<19m.5. So far, 59 SBS galaxies brighter than 17m.0 have been observed with the Cananea 2.1 m GHO telescope. In this sample five new Seyfert galaxies were found: a Seyfert I galaxy (SBS 1713+580), a Seyfert 1.5 galaxy (SBS 1610+589), and three Seyfert 2 galaxies (SBS 0153+366, SBS 1317+548, SBS 1651+559). Another 51 emission-line galaxies were spectroscopically confirmed. The rest of the sample is composed of three galaxies with absorption line spectra and blue continua. The apparent magnitude and redshift distributions, the spectral classification, the relative intensities of emission lines, and other parameters, as well as the slit spectra for all 56 emission-line galaxies are presented in this paper.
