The ALMA Control subsystem is a large software system being developed following the component/container paradigm. As the system grows in size and complexity, the application of effective strategies to integrate and test the system has become critical.
This paper discuss the way test frameworks and simulators are being applied to facilitate the task of developing a comprehensive and maintainable test suite on the system architecture.
