The Clementine mission's lunar mapping was conducted from February to May, 1994 in 11 spectral bandpasses, allowing a global positional network to be constructed from 43,000 images. Early science results encompass global models of topography, gravity, and crustal thickness as well as new information on the topography and structure of impact basins and evidence suggesting south-polar water ice.
