The observational data for planetary nebulae in the radio region of the spectrum is reviewed and summarized. The methods of determining interstellar extinction, electron temperatures and turnover points in the spectrum from these observations are given, as are the tests for the recombination theory and a discussion of the validity of several models of these objects.
