It is reported that an analysis of two coarse-grained white Allende inclusions with respect to their content of Ar-40 and Ar-39 showed ages in excess of 4,550 Myr. Data regarding the amounts and isotopic composition of the released Ar are presented in a table. The significance of the determined ages is discussed, taking into account the results of previously conducted analyses of samples from the Allende meteorite and analyses of lunar samples. Attention is in this connection given to a model proposed by Clayton (1978) and calculations conducted by Cameron and Truran (1977).
