The source function, mean intensity, and diffuse radiation flux for an infinite homogeneous nebula illuminated by a star are calculated for some simple scattering indicatrices. The calculations are carried out by using the following methods: (1) based on an accurate analytical theory of multiple anisotropic light scattering; (2) Sobolev's approximate method; and (3) by using the transport approximation. Estimates of the accuracy of the approximate methods are obtained.
