The results of observations of Th 4-4 carried out during 1970-1988 are presented. During this period, the integrated brightness of Th 4-4 decreased from 13.4 to 15.3 m. On the basis of spectrograms obtained in 1970-1973, Th 4-4 was classified as a peculiar Be-star. Currently its spectrum resembles that of a high-density low-excitation planetary nebula.
