Photoelectric observations of the short-period eclipsing binary EZ Hya are presented. Precise light curves were constructed and eight times of minimum light were derived. A detailed period study shows that this system started decreasing its period in 1970. This may be interpreted as the beginning of a mass-transfer phase. EZ Hya is another interesting W UMa system showing rapid activity of special interest for theories of evolution and structure of close binary systems.
